     Northern Candle Company is a wholesale company of Candles Soaps & Stuff.  We have been hand pouring candles since January 2003.  It all started with a previously owned company, Baskets & Stuff.  We were looking for quality candles to add to our gift basket line and started to fiddle around with creating our own.  We started with other waxes and when we started to mess with the soy wax, we fell in love with it.
     The odd thing about all this, is that as a teenager I had a slight mishap with a candle, an open window, and some curtains.  Without going into detail, these 3 things in close proximity to each other, do not do well.  Needless to say, I was curtainless for awhile.  And as hard as it is to believe, my mother did not punish me.  She must've been in a great mood.  I did however learn a very important lesson.  "NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED". I never lit another candle again.  That is, until twenty-something years later when I started to make them.  The point to my story is, that even though I was not a "candle person", just seeing how truely wonderful soy wax candles were and are, turned me into not just a candle person, but a candle company.
